What Should I Expect?
We believe that God’s word is the guidebook to our lives, and so we invest our time and make it a priority to study the word and apply practical and effective ways to apply it to our everyday lives. You can expect to hear fresh and applicable truths from God’s word and from others in our congregation.
Jesus says: “Come to me all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) At CLC, our worship times are times of refreshing, renewal, empowerment and inspiration. God moves when his people worship and call out to him, and we love spending time in praise and worship. You can expect to experience God when worshiping with us.
We are all about relationship and connecting together! When visiting or attending CLC, a friend is never more than a few steps away. Through lifegroups and getting plugged into various ministries and activities, we strive to create an environment where people feel comfortable around each other and enjoy sharing experiences and growing together. You can expect to be greeted with a warm smile, a firm handshake or hug, and a friend that will help you adapt to our church family.
We understand that our children and youth are the future, and we heavily invest time, care and resources into them. Starting with our Precious Promise Academy, to our Surge Kids Department, to Powerhouse Student Ministries and Vibe Young Adults, we strive to develop activities and teaching for all children, youth and young adults ranging from birth to 29 years old. We enjoy providing programs for families and sitting through services together as a church family, as well as attending events with our children and teenagers. You can expect to find a place for all members of the family and activities for all to engage in, not matter what age they may be.

Can I contact someone at the church office?
Absolutely! We’d love to speak with you. The church office is open Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. If there is an emergency and you need to speak to a pastor, you may contact the church and the pastor on call will return your call as quickly as possible. Here’s our information:
How early should I get there?
We recommend that service attendees arrive about 10-15 minutes before service starts so that they can find a good parking spot near the building and get a good seat for themselves during the service. We open up our services with praise and worship that lasts anywhere from 10-20 mins and we would love to have you participate with us during that time.
What should I wear?
We invite you to wear whatever makes you comfortable! There is no dress code, but you’ll find that many at CLC always wear a smile.
Where do I take my kids?
During our Wednesday night and weekend services, childcare is provided for children from pre-K to 5th grade. Our Surge Kids department provides a very secure environment for kids to spend time with one another as parents enjoy the service and time with other adults.
Do you have anything for teenagers?
Yes! Powerhouse Student Ministries provides activities, services, fun and excitement for all middle and high school students. Students gather for various events throughout the week, but everyone comes together for a combined service on Wednesday evenings at 7:15pm in the Family Life Center at our Fort Lauderdale campus. Our Wired middle school service happens every Sunday morning at 11am, as does our Rock Student Discipleship service every Tuesday evening at 7pm. Our Coral Springs campus also has youth activities for middle and high school students every weekend during service.
What is available for adults?
There is a myriad of ministries, activities and growth opportunities for adults to get involved with at CLC. Anywhere from lifegroups connecting together at homes across Broward county to serving in one of over 50 different ministries – there is a place for you. We offer Sunday school classes, called growth groups, to help adults grow in their knowledge of Christ and his word and purpose for our lives.
Do you take up a collection or offering?
Yes, we do take up an offering/collection at our services.
We believe that God gives freely to us, and so we give to him and his house (the church) with a willing and happy heart. We give because we understand how much God loves us, and we give because we know he is in control of our finances. Through your giving, God has allowed us to reach to our community and communities across the world. None of that would be possible without God and your willingness to honor Him through giving according to Scripture (2 Cor. 9:7, Prov. 3:9) We’re thankful for what God has done and are excited for what the future holds. We want to thank you for your support in helping us reach those who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus. The best is yet to come!
Do you have Sunday School?
Yes! Our Sunday school classes are called Growth Groups and they vary in topics, teachings and languages. We currently offer growth groups in English and Spanish at our Fort Lauderdale, Sunrise and Spanish campuses.
Can I listen to or watch messages online?
Do you offer language translation?
Yes, we currently offer audio translations for our sermons in creole and portuguese at our Fort Lauderdale campus on Sunday mornings upstairs in the Worship Center building. We also have a Spanish congregation and service that meets Sunday mornings at our Prospect Road Campus. For more details, click here.
What are lifegroups?
Lifegroups are the perfect place for you to meet others. It’s where people are connected together and lasting relationships are made. They’re small groups that meet regularly, usually every other week or so depending on the group, to get together with one another and spend time in God’s word and fellowship.
There are also several “types” of Lifegroups, from language and interest based groups, such as married couples, to mens, to young adult to youth small groups, etc. Groups meet in different locations around town, and we would love to help you get connected to one! Click here for more information.
